Paintings and sketches by the teacher:
Humans are Not Machines
I decided to paint like Modrian. This painting was done with hand painted lines over some measured ruler lines by pencil. I wanted to try and copy Modrians perfect line art. In the end I came to the realization that perfection can be done by a machine and is not for humans. I therefore put a big green X through the image to disrupt

the colors and show this.
Of All Sizes
An abstract image made for a project the required myself at the time to be included. It is a multimedia project, using paper drawn lines and digital color to enhance the traditional medium.
Dash!
A cartoon character I drew with some nice line art. I tried to focuse on making good inking.
Chinese Mandala
Inspired by Tai monks, this image is nearly identical on all four sides. The still was inspired by Chinese architecture as opposed to the tradition buddist elements.
Handmade Map of Sherman's March
This map shows the famous march performed by William Sherman and his men of the Union during the Civil war from Atlanta to Savannah Georgia. It shows the historic account of the battles and sabatoges that were carried out along the way. This map was created with ink markers, tea staining, and some burning to age.
Wireframe Construction Toy
A contour drawing of a construction toy. This lead me into the world of 3D design. The project used charcoal as the medium.
Tree Turtle
This drawing used contour drawing like a wireframe. It took a practice I did drawing trees and abstracted it into something much more. This project was done with charcoal.
Spray Painted Wheel
I took the wheel of my car and painted it in a combination of Duplicolor Custom Wrap and Plasti Dip. I spray painted to base color and then splatter painted the white and orange using a toothbrush and a paint brush.
